Heading West

With the conclusion of a very successful national tour of the “Official Blues Brothers Revue,” it is time, once again, for me to head west for Montana. This will be my fourth season as the Master Electrician for Alpine Theatre Project and third season as the Lighting Designer for the first show of the summer season, which includes “Master Class,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” For more information on the 2012 summer season or to learn more about Alpine Theatre Project, visit their web site at www.alpinetheatreproject.org.

A Year of the Blues

I’ve hit the road with “The Official Blues Brothers Revue”. We’ll be traveling the USA through April, bringing good ol’ fashioned Blues Brothers fun to audiences everywhere. More information about “The Official Blues Brothers Revue” can be found at www.bbrevue.com and at www.springertheatricals.com

Summer Wrap-up

With the ATP summer season winding down, I’m planning for the rest of the year. It begins on Aug. 30 with a road-trip home and shortly thereafter I will be flying to Omaha, NE to rehearse the Omaha Theatre Company’s National Tour of “If You Give a Cat a Cupcake”. There is also a new novel in the works, as well as massive revisions and rewrites to last year’s NaNoWriMo manuscript. Friend & Illustrator Danaye Shiplett (www.danaye.com) and I are working on a dummy copy of the first book in our Young@Art series, currently titled “Play Time!”

After a busy spring, a busy summer!

Well, I apologize for the complete lack of updates. The spring tour of “Route 66″ went extremely well and was well-received in every town we visited. I will soon be on my way to Montana to design “Barrymore”, the first show of the Alpine Theatre Project season. After that show opens, I will resume my role as Master Electrician for the remainder of the season. Shortly after the ATP season ends, I will be hitting the road again with the Omaha Theatre Company’s production of “If You Give a Cat a Cupcake” and I will be with that show through the middle of February.

…on the road again…

Currently on the road with Springer Theatricals’ production of “Route 66″. The national tour runs through April 24, 2010. Visit www.springertheatricals.org for itinerary and more details.

I’ve been making trips to the Lincoln Cener Library for the Performing Arts to do some research on family members who were big in Vaudeville. Finding lots of useful information, which usually creates more questions and opens new paths for research.

Happy November!
